I was sent this by a friend today and had to post it here – not because I’m racist, anti-Muslim (or any other nationality or religion), but because I’m AUSTRALIAN. Born here 52 years ago, from a combination of Welsh and Kiwi grandparents (both my parents were born here), and I LOVE THIS COUNTRY, but it is slowly being destroyed by “political correctness” gone absolutely mad.

Politicians who don’t have the guts to mandate that the business and educational functions of this country should be done IN ENGLISH. Do you know you can take a driving test (in NSW at least) in one of 2 dozen languages and NOT HAVE TO SPEAK ENGLISH at all ? What’s next, road signs in other languages because the immigrants are either too LAZY to learn English, or believe it’s their God-given RIGHT to tell us how to run our country ?

Walk through Parramatta, in the main shopping area, at any time of the day or night and see all the shops with non-English signs on them – I have no problem with them trying to attract business in their own language, but they MUST HAVE ENGLISH AS WELL. How would it be if you went to live in, as an example, Vietnam and demanded that the shop signs were in English ? You’d soon be told to learn Vietnamese or get out of the country – and RIGHTLY SO TOO !!

I have many many good friends of dozens of nationalities, many of whom have children who go to school with my two – Asian, Arabic, Indian, Vietnamese – even Yanks (), and they are some of the nicest and most honest, hard working people you could ever meet, and even THEY are offended by what this country is doing.

If your opinion of me changes because of this post, then I feel very sorry for you having such a narrow point of view of the world. If you don’t want to speak to me or read my blog or follow me on Twitter, I won’t be offended – I just won’t loose any sleep over it. You are as entitled to your opinion as I am to mine, and although we may disagree I’m at least willing to discuss and debate the changes that MUST be made if the Australian ideal is to survive.

This is not a funny ….. its what all of us are thinking but not saying.

Nik Ziogopoulos states what is fact and what we all believe.

Nik would be in his 70′s at least.

A GREAT PERSPECTIVE FROM A ‘NEW’ AUSTRALIAN

Nik Ziogopoulos

I emigrated to Australia over 60 years ago – On the ship there were Poms, Italians (Spags), Germans (Huns), Yugoslavs (Yuges), Poles, Ducchys, Ukes (Ukrainians) and Greeks. (Note – All European people!!) all looking forward to starting a new life in Australia. I arrived with 30 quid in my pocket and that’s all I had to my name, Did I put my hand out?? Of course not – I got a job and paid my way just like everyone else who came to this country back then.

Now, it’s my taxes that subsidize these people who think they have Gods given right (read Allah) to come here and criticise those of us who have worked for the country we now call home.

If I didn’t like what I saw when I got here I would have gone home – they have the same option.

If they don’t want to become an Australian, they can GO BACK TO WHERE THEY CAME FROM – WE DON’T NEED THEM HERE!!!

When will this stop?

  • They want 2 of their own public holidays, because Christians have Christmas, Easter & Good Friday
  • They force our children to eat Halal Meat Pies and Sausage Rolls from the school canteens, so the Muslim kids can feel more Aussie. We were not consulted about this change – they went ahead and just did it.
  • Our foods are slowly all becoming Halal foods, our cheeses, chocolates & even good old sanitarium foods
  • Our Government is ALLOWING this to happen. It has to stop now, while we still have some power to be able to stop it.

    Regarding Our National Anthem, I am sorry, but after hearing they want to sing the National Anthem in Arabic – enough is enough. Nowhere or at no other time in our nation’s history, did they sing it in Italian, Japanese, Polish, Irish (Celtic), German, Portuguese, Ukrainian, Greek, or any other language because of immigration.

    It was written in English, and should be sung word for word the way it was written.

    The news broadcasts even gave the translation — not even close.

    I am not sorry if this offends anyone, this is MY COUNTRY – IF IT IS YOUR COUNTRY SPEAK UP

    I am not against immigration – just come through like everyone else. Get a sponsor; have a place to lay your head; have a job; pay your taxes, live by the rules AND LEARN THE LANGUAGE as all other immigrants have in the past – and LONG LIVE Australia !

    Think about this:

    If you don’t want to forward this for fear of offending someone – YOU’RE PART OF THE PROBLEM !!!!

    Will we still be the Country of Choice and still be Australia if we continue to make the changes forced on us by the people from other countries who have come to live in Australia because it is their Country of Choice??

    Think about it!

    IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT.

    It is Time for Australia to Speak up!

    (in this Australia where ‘freedom of speech’ is a fundamental right of every Australian)

    THIS IS FROM A BLOODY GREEK BASTARD WHO MIGRATED TO AUSTRALIA IN THE LATE 1940s

    As some of you may know, I’m in a bit of a kerfuffle with Telstra at the moment regarding the bills I have received for the last 5 months and their lack of correctness.

    I spent over an hour on the phone with a very helpful lady in the CEO’s Complaints Team yesterday – that is after spending over 9 hours analyzing 5 months worth of bills and comparing it to WHAT I SIGNED UP FOR (something I should NOT have had to do), and I’m still none the wiser. More on that in the next rant.

    So I get a call at 18:07 tonight – funny how they’re never there when YOU call them, but always when THEY have to call you – from a BLOCKED number, and a recorded voice saying;

    This is a call for from Telstra for . This is not a telemarketing call. Please press 1 to accept the call”

    Normally I would have no idea who it was, but I’ve had them before, so I pressed 1. Next it said;

    “We have your year of birth as 19xx. For identification purposes, please enter your day and month of birth…”

    RIGHT !! Why do I have a problem with this ?

    • There is NO INDICATION who the call is from. Yes, it may be genuine, but nothing on this screen indicates who is calling me.

    • Telstra (and many other companies, such as Foxtel) ask for an address and date of birth to “identify the caller”, but expect you to provide that information without them identifying themselves.

    • The information they ask for (generally name, date of birth and address or phone number) IS ALL PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE !! I have proven this, more later.

    • They will not identify themselves before asking for your information (AMEX are great at this, believe me) !!

    • And the most annoying thing about getting these calls is THEY DO NOT READ THE ACCOUNT NOTES !! If they had, they would have seen that my account is in dispute, it is being handled by the CEO’s office, and they should have referred the matter to that office.

    As the very helpful Elizabeth from the CEO’s Complaints Team said yesterday;

    “We ask you to state your name and mobile number. By doing that you are stating that you are that person. If you are not, you are making a false statement and that is illegal”

    So – you are relying on me, the customer, to say who I am and are taking that as gospel for identification purposes. If I am trying to obtain information about someone else’s account, also ILLEGAL, do you think a trivial matter such as lying in said statement is going to worry me ?

    You have not identified me as the account holder at all – all you have done is identify that SOMEONE is calling, knows a name and phone number that match your records, and is asking for information.

    Section 4.1 of The National Privacy Principles, extracted from the Privacy Act 1988 as at 14 September 2006, states;

    4.1 An organisation must take reasonable steps to protect the personal information it holds from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

    How the hell is asking for PUBLICLY AVAILABLE AND KNOWN INFORMATION “taking reasonable steps” ?

    That is why, years ago, I demanded a PASSWORD on both my Telstra and Foxtel accounts – THIS IS SECURE (relatively speaking). Only the account holder or another AUTHORISED person would know this password, even if all manner of personal information was know.

    And THAT is the only identification I will provide.

    Telstra, Foxtel and any company that uses this identification methodology is being GROSSLY NEGLIGENT with my information, and yours.

    To prove how pathetically easy their “identification check” is to circumvent, my wife and I performed a little test – I’m only sorry I didn’t record the call.

    With the full knowledge and permission of oneone of our neighbors (who is also a good friend), I had my wife call Telstra and pretend to be this person. The story we gave is that one of her credit cards has been stolen and she wasn’t sure which one Telstra had on file, and could they please read it to her.

    Name and date-of-birth questions were duly answered, and then the Telstra person started reading out the credit card number.

    After the first 4 numbers, I took the phone, stopped her from giving out anything more, and the conversation went like this;

    ME: “You were in the process of giving out a credit card number, CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION, to someone who was NOT the account holder”

    CSO: “What do you mean, X identified herself”

    ME: “No, that was my wife giving X’s name. X is our neighbor, and has given her permission for her name to be used in testing this “identification” system of yours. You asked for PUBLICLY AVAILABLE information, do you not see how insecure that is ?”

    CSO: “We have to have that under the PRIVACY ACT”

    ME: “That is completely untrue. The Privacy Act stipulates that you have to take REASONABLE MEASURES – how is asking for non-secure information “reasonable”

    CSO: >click<

    So it was all too hard for the poor woman. Not her fault, and I’m not complaining (this time) about the service I received, just that they have NO CLUE. You would think that, being Telstra, they would have looked at the phone number that was calling them (caller ID people !!), seen that the number was registered to an address next door to the one we were enquiring about, and refused to give the information – maybe offering to call back on the account holder’s registered number.

    It’s all too hard for them, at a CORPORATE level.

    I would STRONGLY suggest that for any account you hold with Telstra, Foxtel or indeed any company that allows you to make telephone enquiries, you DEMAND a password or PIN be placed on the account and give THAT AND THAT ONLY as identifying information.

    I mean, Virgin Mobile and Vodafone do it – you’d think other companies could too ?

    With all of the brouhaha about burqas in public, etc. I did a little research and found some suggestions for new Immigration Laws for Australia that may ease the situation somewhat.

    Before you start flaming me, READ the whole post – I’m not saying I agree with them.

    New Immigration Laws

    1. There will be NO bi-lingual programs in any Australian school
    2. All election ballot will be conducted in THIS COUNTRY’s language
    3. All Government business will be conducted in THIS COUNTRY’s language
    4. Non-Citizens (i.e. non-naturalised) will have NO RIGHT to vote, no matter how long they have lived here
    5. Non-Citizens (i.e. non-naturalised) will NEVER be able to hold political office
    6. Foreigners will NOT be a burden to taxpayers. No welfare, no food stamps, no health care or any other Government programs
    7. Foreigners may invest in this country, but it must be AT LEAST an amount equal to 40,000 times the minimum daily wage
    8. Foreigners may purchase land, however options will be severely limited. Certain parcels of land, including all waterfront property, are reserves for naturally-born citizens
    9. Foreigners may have no protests, no demonstrations, no displaying or waving of a foreign flag, no membership of political organizations, no critisism of the Prime Minister or Government policies. Any breach of these laws will result in immediate deportation.
    10. If you enter this country illegally, you will be actively hunted down and, when caught, jailed until your deportation orders are arranged. Any and all assets accumulated by you will be confiscated.

    Do you thing these laws are too strict or unfair ? So do I, but these are the current immigration laws in EVERY MUSLIM COUNTRY on Earth.
